Profile

Activities

The Centre for Artistic Estates (Zentrum für künstlerische Nachlässe, ZKN) is dedicated to to scientific debate about estates in the areas of art, music, and literature. By organising conferences, seminars, and lectures the ZKN wants to address questions of how to plan, administer, and develop artistic estates. Through connecting the areas of art, music, and literature the ZKN aims for fostering transdisciplinary inspiration.

Who We Address

In addition to collectors, artists, musicians, and writers as well as their heirs, the ZKN also addresses other persons and institutions connected to artistic estates like museums, galleries, auctions houses, publishing companies, record labels, restorers, archives, and lawyers. Scholars in the fields of art (history), music, and literature belong to the target audience of the ZKN too.
